Saw this show last night. J. Tillman is a force of a front man. It’s understandable why he couldn’t be kept behind the drum kit (for Fleet Foxes), at the back of the stage. This guy wants to sing, and he wants to sing loud, while slinking around the stage, mussing up his curly locks and having his own little snark party. Smart ass with a fairly obvious love of attention through and through, I’m pretty sure half of last night’s crowd bathed in the crass banter of J. Tillman while the other half had no idea what to do with it. But make no mistake, EVERYONE in that audience went nuts for the raw and caustic lyrics sung so honestly balls out by “Father John Misty.” I found my constantly wanting to shout “FUCK YEAH!” And I wasn’t the only one. The impact of this record is oh so good live!

Another new song from personal faves Ramona Falls. Sqworm is the second song released from their upcoming sophomore album, Prophet (available for pre-order NOW).
Seriously… at the risk of sound like a complete idiot, I’m sqworm-ing in my seat waiting for this damn record to come out already. Yeah yeah, just like everyone else, I crush on Brent Knopf’s talents (and his towering height). Looking forward to hearing the complete record.
